Sunday 20th of March

Arrowtown to Methven…..Shades of Arrowtown is an awesome spot, we were sorry to leave. But we bookings at Methven Resort that we needed to fill.

Our day maps showed us going through Karawau Gorge to Cromwell but we suggested doing the Crown Range Road again. We can’t actually say if anyone took the Crown Range, but by Omarama we were all together again and having a cuppa.

Some bunch of tourists parked so close to the van my co-driver for the day had to wait for me to back out before he could even get in.

Barry just needed a rest day, so the lads pushed the bike into the van for us and we were off. It was nice to have a co-driver, someone to talk to and laugh with…..and program the stupid GPS so we knew where we were going.

We saw a few mufti cops, or the same one multiple times, but other than that the visuals we all made it to Tekapo without a ticket!!!

It wasn’t the most exciting road so a few of the guys swapped bikes to stay alert. The temperature dropped a little through the Lindis Pass, but other than that we had a pretty good day.

We got into Methven and booked in and headed straight for The Dubliner, which, this year is the major sponsor for the Methven Street Races that are on this Saturday. So if any of you are in the area we suggest you stop by.

That’s about it for the night tonight, plans are a foot for tomorrow, so we will say good night for now.
