Antonio Cairoli returned to the top step of the MXGP podium

Antonio Cairoli returned to the top step of the MXGP podium at Pietramurata on Wednesday, securing his 94th GP victory with 3-1 results! Red plate-holder Jeffrey Herlings experienced a DNF in the opening moto with bike damage after a fall, rebounding to fourth in moto two.

In MX2, Rene Hofer claimed his first-career GP victory by going 4-1, as Red Bull KTM Factory Racing teammate Tom Vialle won the opening moto, but exited the final outing. Mattia Guadagnini was P4 with an 11-2 scorecard.
